Who thinks online dating works?

or who is now married and was dating online???

wanna know if it works:)

Who thinks online dating works?
I'm in LOVE with a girl I met online. It is the most fulfilling relationship I ever had in my life, she might be the one.

And I didn't pay one cent for it.
Reply:you are welcome! Report It

Reply:Which online website did you use? Report It

Reply:Well for some people it works. My best friend was on EHarmony, and she met someone and they dated for awhile. I tried it too, and I didn't meet anybody. It just depends on the individual person.
Reply:No It Wont Last.
Reply:I met my husband online. We've been married over 5 years. My sister also met her husband online and they've been married 6.5 years.
Reply:I have two friends who met their wives on e-harmony.
Reply:fact is if you cant meet some 1 locally somthings may be wrong with 1 or the other only good thing is the intrests are spelled out,, sexuely and daily intrests BUT thats still not everything as far as chemistry is concerned,,.. 1 nighters maybe ,,,but i think it's not a real good idea for most ppl
Reply:it doesn't work out my uncle married this girl off the net because he thought she got pregnant with him but it turnes out its not even his kid and now she's divorcing him and doing her best to get half his money, she was in it for the money all along, she flew out to cali took the baby the ring and ran up all his credit cards, don't do it.
Reply:I am married to a wonderful man that I met on-line, and someone that I wouldn't of met otherwise. I am sure it probably doesn't always work that way for everyone but did for me.
Reply:no don't even do it , it sucks, just look for the fish in the water yo self.
Reply:been there done that already lasted for a while ...
Reply:Trust me it's not gonna work. You are talking to people that you don't know. And nowadays with all these dam child rapers running around who knows what could happen? Relationships in where you don't see who you're talking to and don't know what they really look like are not going to work out. Most people would prefer real contact.
Reply:Meeting someone via the Internet is no different than any other social setting.... it's what happens AFTER you meet face-to-face that matters.
Reply:IT DOES WORK!! my uncle got married to this really great person!

shes very nice!

and she's now my aunt. haha
Reply:I have a good friend that met his girlfriend on line....they are planning to get married soon=))
Reply:i dont know i heard it works for some people and others not but mainly i heard it dont work out
Reply:Wow I have met and dated alot of prople from online some work and some dont take for instant my ex of 3 years whom I met on ICQ decided to use me as a punching bag and I went to jail for defending myself so my advice to you or anyone thinking about it take it slowlyyyyyyyyyy get to know the person dont just jump in like I did so stupuidly. I have siome awesome friends who Ive been talking to for years.
Reply:Not me!
Reply:My brother-in-law has been dating girls who he has met through on-line dating, actually Yahoo. He has met some really nice girls and seems to enjoy meeting people that way. (his wife, my sister, passed away a few years ago and he has had a time wanting to go out to meet people. so why not on line)
Reply:Well it hasn't worked for me so far.
Reply:For some people it does work, my mom meet a guy online and they got married, same with my sister. Still together.
Reply:you never know. be careful though.
Reply:Not me.
Reply:It worked for me!!! Happily Married going on 8 years
Reply:I dated one woman I met online. I don't think I'll ever do it again. I think it's very difficult to get to really know someone online because of the 'anonymity' factor. We all have the opportunity to represent ourselves in the best possible light, editing out undesirable qualities....which would otherwise probably be detected within the first few minutes of meeting someone in real life. I'm sure there are exceptions... I think you can tell more from a person's facial expressions in one minute, than you can from a hundred well written e-mails.
Reply:me,
Reply:I think online dating is something that people do when they are unable to have a life of their own. Now, meeting someone online who lives nearby and starting a relationship with that person and later falling in love. That's fine. But I had a friend who "dated" a kid online for almost 4 years. They did eventually meet, but they had a lot of problems because where do you draw the line with online dating? I don't know. If its strickly online, its for people who don't have a life and really don't want one. If its one that develops into a REAL, personal relationship. That's a different story. But even yet, I'd caution meeting someone in real life that you've met online. Its still too dangerous.
Reply:probably not..never tried it
Reply:Not sure what exactly you mean by online dating but I think meeting people online is very common nowadays. I've dated a few guys I met online and have made some friends by chatting online. I'm not married yet, but a friend of mine who is married met her husband online and I've heard similar stories. So it can work, you just have to know how to pick and choose! Good luck!
Reply:It depends on who the person is and if u really like or love this person. but it does work in some cases
Reply:i dont think so. u should see the person face to face to know him.

Reply:I don't know.
Reply:www.plentyoffish . com

Reply:mahima knows!!
Reply:i think that is horrible question !!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Would you really want to date someone who wouldn't pony up $20 to find a good date?

Problems with online dating?

Can anyone tell me some online dating problems?

I know a few. Just wondering.

Problems with online dating?
My issues were just people looking for one night stands. Then one guy who seemed decent...when we talked over the phone, he told me that when he looks at his truck he gets a hard on. Oy. I've never done online dating again.
Reply:Well, you always have risks. You can write anything on line about yourself... the person on the other end of the computer doesn't really know and has to assume you're telling them the truth. You can't hear a tone in their voice when messaging. You could take a comment one way and the person meant it another way.

Sweetie says some problems are:

You don't really know who you're communicating with (serial killer/rapist/psycho/man/woman/girl/boy)

Could be married or single, honest or dishonest.
Reply:lies. they can lie to you easy and you wont be able to tell because its online! good luck!
Reply:lol ur a l0ser
Reply:Fake pictures for one...
Reply:THERE ARE A LOT OF ONLINE DATING PROBLEMS. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT THINGS. AND SOME PEOPLE WIL BE WHAT YOU ARE NOT EXPECTING THE PERSON TO BE OR IS NOT WHAT THEY CLAIMED THEY WERE.
Reply:Married men pretending to be single...that's a big one.
Reply:Lots of crazy people
Reply:that it sucks bootay!!! lol. i would never!! its not the same!!
Reply:I've found recently that the majority of women I've met, chatted with, are having very large financial problems. Be it having to file charter 11's, losing their homes.

Having problem with their children or jobs aren't very secure right now.

Not a very promising outlook!!! LOL

Ladies, I'm sure that there are many stable singles out there. I'm just answering the man's question on online dating sites!!
Reply:If you know how to use it, it's a really easy way to date nice girls. There are a lot of lonely cool good looking girls on dating websites and not just ugly ones as some people think.

*Just don't expect such websites to do miracles for you. -.-

I'm dating a hindu guy online...need your insights?

hi all...it's my first time to post. i'm just really curious. i've never tried online dating before, but after i broke up with my ex, i figured i just wanna try it for fun and not be serious with it. so some indian guy sends me a message over at myspace and initially, i didn't like his english but he was very pleasant and nice so i decided i wanna be friends with him.

we chat daily and realized we like each other...

i feel like im starting to fall for him and because this is just online, i can't help but have hesitations at the back of my mind if this is gonna work or not or if he is making up stories or not...but i think he is not... can you guys help me how to verify things, or at least give me tips on how to make "us" work? by the way, he is half indian-half british.

i wanna know in particular what challenges i should expect with our situation....give me precations...

thank you all for your answers :)

I'm dating a hindu guy online...need your insights?
Online dating is the wave of the present and the future. Do you really want to meet guys in bars? Drunks basically?

Or crap where you eat? (Date guys at work)

Like Heidi said, liars will lie in real life or online.

There are intelligent people online. People that use computers tend to be a little smarter than the average moron.

Women seem hesitant about the whole thing because they talk to each other too much instead of experimenting with it.

Online dating can really break the ice. You can write a little at first, do IM, webcam video and/or audio, send jpgs, etc.

Many people have webpages that describe themselves, etc.

You have more opportunities to fine tune what you are looking for with the internet. And you don't even have to put on make-up!! (unless you're webcamming).

Good luck and good hunting!!
Reply:Go post this in American answers in this same category. People will be nicer to you. These people are being mean to you and you don't deserve it. With online relationships there are people that lie but people can lie as much as they can in real life too. Online relationships are similar to real ones. I have had a few of them. Meet him in a public place if you just want to make sure. You never really know someone tell you have married them honestly. Just take it slow and feel him out. I think it will be fine. =) I hope things go well.
Reply:just check if he is sincere and if he really means it.....

doesnt matter who he is or where he comes from.....

if you find he is, then go ahead........there will be no problem..........
Reply:first of all i am not trying to be mean but why are you dating a guy online why why would you no that guy could be a guy that is not safe just giving you some advice
Reply:well it dosent matter in this global world whether you are dating a hindu guy or a japanese. you can really check him by talking just about sex.
Reply:stooopidh girl

its not gonna going to work

you are pre occupied with the fact that he is a hindu

you are consoled by something like he is half british

stooopidh girl

its not your cup of tea
Reply:Online dating is very safe, don't outline it.
Reply:Idiot
Reply:LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL..........LMAO...i cant imagine ..hw stupid ppl can b..!!...LOLOLOL....online?...LOL...datin... hindu guy?....LOLOLOL!!!!...srry for being rude..but...LOLOLOL!!!!!!!
Reply:i dnt knw what conversation has been between ull....but all i can say is love is blind...and if u feel a guy is worth ....may be u should take a try and check it out that repenting in future.....iv had my friend who was friendly with a girl from ahmedabad and he is from bombay...they met each other on net,,,,we made fun of him....but because he kept upto it....they both met up in dubai....nw its been 7 years and they gettn married next year....and nw his bro as weell is carryn on wit a girl from net...the guy who is gettn married met his girl after 2 years...but the end result is they were meant to be together...and the net was meant for them....better knw the person properly....and then check it out....but dont ever do those thns in life which u will repent for....have fun....take care,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm newly single and trying online dating...Has anyone had any luck with it?

I just joined an online dating site called http://212fling.com and was wondering if anyone else had experience with the online dating scene.

If you've had successful encounters online, may you please tell me what's the best site, and how much should I expect to pay.

I'm newly single and trying online dating...Has anyone had any luck with it?
I found my wonderful boyfriend on Craigslist, and we have been together now for over a year.

Just be careful, follow your gut, and meet in a public place.
Reply:well fling is for not really dating is more like hit it and leave.....If you want to find a real date try match.com or datehookup.com is free............you can email all day long for free...
Reply:Dating online seems to be the new trend. Some people use sites like myspace.com, eharmony, blackplanet.com, urbanchat.com, match.com

It all depends on whether you're willing to spend money for it or not. Be careful, sometimes online predators leach themselves to a lot of these sites, so play it safe and try not to give out too much personal info about yourself.

Also, check your local community listings, sometimes they have local dating services.
Reply:Well ...wouldn't call it a successfull encounter ...unless you call just having the best sex of my life "successful" ...LOL

Seriously ..met who I thought was a great guy online yahoo personals ....we went out for awhile ...said he wanted all the same things as me (i was just out of a 10 year marriage) ...then I slept with him ..and *poof* he was gone. Ah well ...at least I have the memories !! LOL

Just take it slow ...don't let anyone use you ..use your best judgement ...meet in a public place ...it can be a good experience !!

Good luck, and best wishes !
Reply:I actually met the LOVE OF MY LIFE on cupid.com.

I was so skeptical about online dating at first... I thought it was desperate and silly. But then Andrew wrote me, and he was exactly [[and I mean EXACTLY to the T]] what I was looking for and even more. We chatted online for about 2 months before we actually met... and when we finally did it was even better. I can't wait to have a family with him some day!

So do it - just be careful... there are a lot of creeps out there, but the perfect guys do exist!

100% free online dating service site ? No charges EVER ?

I'm looking for an online dating site that WILL NOT charge me to send messages to people - most seem to let me sign up free but then want to charge when I try to contact anyone.

Please let me know if you know of a free site - there must be one out there!

100% free online dating service site ? No charges EVER ?
http://www.tarzanmeetjane.com is completely free to sign up and to contact people, there’s instant messaging in it too which is good. I know exactly what you’re talking about, a lot of sites claim to be free but they’re not when you try to contact people so I was glad to find this site, I hope that helps you.
Reply:Flirtbox.com no charges and specific sites for different countries.
Reply:yeah its called "myspace" learn how to talk to a girl and it is great. but i bet u have no game so ur probably stuck with all the desperate people who pay thousands for dating sights.

im sorry to be rude... i was in ur shoes once too... hey what if i told u about something that is a quarter of the price of match sights and it would make u rock with ladies, would u check it out? it worked for me. i promise u. i am just a normal guy but now i have 6 girlfriends and i think i have found the one i want to pursue to mary.... just check these out.

type "david deangelo" or "david wygant" in ur browser. buy the programs. i promise it works as their teaching become ingrained into ur head.
Reply:use hi5 or myspace, hell even local yahoo chat or something, or personally anymore I just try finding events to go to with people around, and grow a set of nuts for the ocation even if it feels out of character at times, good luck
Reply:plentyoffish.com
Reply:try..... http://totallyfreedatingwebsite.com
Reply:Visit this site - http://surl.in/HLMAT261252BMRMTGQ
Reply:I could recommend a good one - but it is for people with HIV. Most new dating services will offer services for free, but then they start charging.

What gives? online dating.?

I'm newly single, so I checked out this online dating site. There's a guy I liked and he expressed interest. I've been checking out his profile. finally had the nerve to ask him a couple of questions, volunteered some detail about what I do....he checks my profile but doesn't say anything..should I forget him or give him some time? I don't want to show anymore interest than I already have but I can't seem to get over him.

What gives? online dating.?
Well I'm against online dating (Besides the fact Ive tried it) The distanceis wayy too much too handle...You never know how the person really is.
Reply:Couldn't hurt to give him time, but keep your options open, going to be on a dating site then might as well take advantage of it and explore some other people. Not like he's the only guy on the site.
Reply:let it go. Give him Time, he may be involved. YOu made your move let him have his turn.
Reply:Give it a try and be careful. Just don't believe him all before your relationships are very well.
