I asked a man I had been talking with online to meet in person. He became offended that I had asked him and became verbally degrading (saying I was pushy for asking and then calling me high maintenance??? when he hardly knew me). I thought he was joking at first but he became very nasty and then was trying to dictate what I said and where I went for the night? Is this a common experience with the online dating scene? I feel so bad about this happening.
