Anyone with personal experiences with online dating sites please respond. What are the do's and dont's. Has anyone here had a successful relationship from meeting online? With a busy life and so little freetime is this the only way to meet someone? I'm sick of bars and social clubs. What is the key to meeting someone right in this day and age of technology and the fact everyones so damn busy? I almost think being gay would be easier but I am so not attracted to the male body so thats out. Just frustrated with how times are changing and how little people get to interact with one another face to face. I live/rent on a lake and have a ski boat so I get to meet people on the weekends but all I run across is married people or girls who are just way too young, it sucks. I guess I need a new outlet and I dont know what to do. I am done with friends setting me up, it has not worked out so good, I guess I'm too picky but thats me. Reply:We live in Eau Claire too. It is a hard place to date. My boyfriend and I met through a work situation. If you're older than college age, it's really hard. I'm sorry, but the bars are usually where single people look. Have you been to Woos for the music? That has a nice crowd. And volleyball teams in the summer is where a lot of newly divorced people hang. College kids do Water Street. The Joint is Eau Claire's only "Bohemian" bar. Nature clubs like the Sierra Club and the canoe club are active, but everyone in them is usually hooked up or maybe too old for you? But those people are nice and really smart.
