I'm a single mom, and I've met a few people online in the past.
When I go out, my mother watches my son. I say that I'm going out with one of my friends, and it works out ok.
I recently met this guy and we are going on our third date, and we're starting to see eachother more,
I don't like lying.
I don't like her being suspicious -- why don't my friends ever come inside the house???---
I have always been in denial about online dating, because it seems so iffy...
I really like this guy, and I want things to work, but I don't know what to say anymore to my mother.
and PS-- i'm 23, so it's not like I have to ask "permission" to date, it's just that shes watching my child, and she's curious to what I'm going to be doing.
I'm dating someone that I met online, and I need some help with something. (Details inside). Help?

Reply:tell her you are dating...you don't have to say how you met him.
Reply:She's suspicious because you won't intrduce her to any of your friends. Like you said, you don't need her permission, but consider including her in your life because she loves you and cares about you. Dating is always "iffy" no matter where you meet someone; anyone can makeup anything about themselves anywhere, anytime. It may be a good idea to get Mom's take on a relationship. Don't leave her sitting home with her grandchild and her imagination. If things work out with this guy, he has to meet your Mom sooner or later. You may be still too young to realize the wisdom Mom has aquired over the years. Let her in!
Reply:just tell her you're dating and you don't know if you like the guy yet or if things are going to work out, so that's why she hasn't met him. you don't have to tell her you met the guy online. say you met at the grocery store or something.
Reply:The two of you should make up a place that you guys met, like in line at a coffee shop. You'll want to have an excuse to tell other people as well, because people are always asking where you met, and your mom isn't the only one you'll want to lie to.
If it works out between you, and your mom likes him, you can always tell her the truth later and explain that you were embarassed. She'll understand.
It's hard to meet people when you're a single mom too.
Reply:Sleep with as many guys asyou can and ask your mom to join in.
PS - I love you ands do John and Andy!
Reply:tell her the truth, you're an adult
Reply:Have As much Sex with the guy as possible %26amp; ask your mom to join in...
Reply:As your "PS" said you are 23, and if you are cool with your mother then she will understand that you are an adult. Besides you have been on a date with already so he decently safe (i hope).
