Online dating service...?

Do those things really work? Do you know anyone that has actually met their husband or wife on an online dating service? If so, which one?

Online dating service...?
I know that the following sites have the highest rate of long term relationship results.

True - http://www.date-comparison.info/c/yahoo/...

SinglesNet - http://www.date-comparison.info/c/yahoo/...

eHarmoney - http://www.date-comparison.info/c/yahoo/...

AmericanSingles - http://www.date-comparison.info/c/yahoo/...

FindRomance - http://www.date-comparison.info/c/yahoo/... (30 %26amp; over)

Also dont forget one of the most crucial steps in online dating is to get cheap but effective background check on the person. I recomend http://www.easybackgroundchecks.com
Reply:I met my hubby at work. Sorry I can't help.
Reply:Most of them are a hoax because you end up paying money to have your profile shown and then wait for answers. You never know what kind of nut job you will end up with, most people on those sites are not honest and post pictures of other people to attract you, and they lie about themselves and their careers and financial situations, you could meet a serial killer and not know it. I would not advise it at all.
Reply:I know of one person that met their husband on eharmony. other than that, I've personally tried match.com, eharmony, chemistry, and yahoo! personals, and none of them have worked for me. I am currently in a relationship that began the old fashioned way....a friend introduced us. So who knows, maybe some of your friends are holding out on you...ask them if they know of any respectable dateable partners for you
Reply:I met my husband on eharmony.com. We have been married since October of '06. This is the second marriage for both of us. We just had our baby in July :-)

I do agree with sassy on a few points, though. There are a lot of fakers out there, and you really do need to be careful. If you're going to use an online dating service, make sure they screen their members and never meet anyone privately!
Reply:One of my friends met her husband on Match.com.
