Someone sent me an e-mail on an online dating site from another western country. I returned it and answered a couple of questions and asked a couple too, which, in my mind were not intrusive at all and the whole text was just friendly as though I was talking to a friend. I was kind of surprised when I didn't receive a response back as this person had actually come on to me. What I did notice when I looked at my messages was that this person had taken the photo off and amended the handle of the profile. I thought that this was pretty strange; what do you think?
Online Dating Disappearance - What's Your Opinion?
There is no telling!!! I think sometimes their status changes, like maybe they really liked someone else they went on a date with already, so they get all wrapped up in that. Also, maybe the photo removal and handle change wasn't a result of something that you said, but maybe a reaction to someone else on the dating site. Who knows how many other people he was talking to? Also, remember, even though you might be truthful on this site, you really just don't know anything about the other person or their motives.
Reply:that you might want to be carful he might be a rapist and he might be coming to get you
Reply:He's a flake... Bye Bye
Reply:On line is just like meeting someone in church or at work - be careful. Get to know them. Don't give away your heart too soon. There are good and bad people everywhere - church, bars, work and on line. I met my soul mate through match.com (and no, they did not pay me to say that) She is incredible! Your person does sound a little unusual - thus - be careful! :-)
Reply:He's probably not who he says he was and he keeps changing his profile to see what kind of people respond. Don't trust this person.
