I understand it's important to not give out personal info to just anyone and I've always heard it's best to take someone with you if you are going to meet someone and have a saftey net set up somehow. I wanna give it a shot but it makes me a bit nervous ya know? If you recommend online dating, what sites would you suggest.
Online dating??? Is it really a bad idea?
I do it, really nothing wrong with it, just don't give out too much info on your profile. I use www.plentyoffish.com. its free and has LOTS of members.
anymore questions e-mail me at itsweird182@hotmail.com
Reply:plentyoffish.com
because it's free and local!! ;-)
G'luck on that quest, never worked for me but did for my sister (married now). So that's 50/50 I guess.
Reply:Its cool just dont become an internet pimp
Reply:Eharmony. My dad is a marriage counselor and he said the site asks the same questions he does when he is evaluating a couple. Thats if you're really serious tho
There are other low key ones, like Yahoo! Personals, or Match.com
Reply:online dating is becoming mainstream. Myspace is THE place to meet people for dating now (notice I said dating not online dating, its replacing what people normally do) and you don't even have to worry about distances or even trusting the person because there are plenty of people that your friends have met on there that are trying to meet people for a relationship.
I have 3 friends that are married to people they met on myspace. They were all local and even knew the same people but had somehow never met each other until myspace.
Reply:Online dating isn't too bad, but its def. best if you take someone with you for the first couple of meetings. Just so you know that you can trust him. And talk on the phone for a while before you meet, so that you can get to know them, and get to know their background a little better. Its really hard to meet guys these days, because all guys wanna do is "hook up" and usually someone on a dating site is looking for something real, ya know? Not just a one night stand. But that's not always the case! Just being extremely cautious. I would suggest EHarmony. I've heard a lot of people comment on how safe it was.
Reply:Yes, there's the distance, and how can you trust someone else who's that far away? I have internet friends but I wouldn't trust them enough to actually date them no matter how much I like them. They never work out, because once a "real" person gets noticed it's a lot stronger. I've seen it happen, and it's just not worth it. Keep trying.
Reply:bad !bad !bad!
Reply:probably doesnt matter how you meet a person.
results are gonna be the same. ya click or ya dont click
Reply:I would never recommend on-line dating because you never know whose really on the other end.
