Im a 28 yr old guy.. and i dont date alot , and the women i do meet i dont seem to have a connection with... whats your opinion of online dating? i almost feel that its a desperation attempt...like a personal ad. dont get me wrong im sure there are alot of great things but just something inside of me feels like im taking a desperation step if i do that? what are your opinions and views on online dating? and where? most seem just like a place for quick hook ups and im not into that? your opinion is greatly appreciated...thx
Whats your opinion of online dating????
yea i think online dating is for desperate people. its a shame
Reply:I feel as if online dating is not exactly dating. You do not really see the person who you are "dating." I prefer in person.
Reply:i am lonely as hell...and still will not do it...
it seems kind of desperate and creepy..
maybe if im still alone when i am 30..or 35 i'll give it a try...
but until then...i guess im goin with "god will put someoen in my life"
Reply:Bad idea! Join a church group or some kind of soical group and soon you will be connecting with a person who shares your interests and who may be a good friend or eventually a relationship partner.
Reply:If you are 28 and dating online...... maybe you should consider inflatable women........ much easier and they don't talk back!
Reply:I dont approve it because I believe its for longers and losers so if you are one go for it, if you are not then get on with your life
Reply:Online dating is cute for teenagers but if you were really a man you would meet REAL WOMAN !
Reply:Hey man, its not that bad of a thing to try. You just have to know the right sites. Sites such as ones advertised like Eharmony.Com and Match.Com are indeed very real sites that try to connect people based on deep profile screening and matching. Here is a website I found with a list of reviews of such sites to assist in your decision.

I hope it helps. But whatever you do, don't give up on looking for that special someone. She's out there, trust me. I know its cliche, but really, she'll find you. And you'll know it. :) Heck, I'm still lookin bud. Whether or not that bit of info discredits my advice is up to you. But don't feel ashamed to try those sites. They just cost a bit of money, but then again how can you price love? lol well they seemed to have found a way. Hope I could help you in your decision man.
Reply:My boyfriend lives in WI and I'm in OH. We've been together for 2 yrs and 3 months. We see each other as often as we can and talk every day online and on the phone. IT works really well if you can trust the other person and it helps if you know someone else who lives around there that would tell you if something is going on too.
Reply:I would say, try it just for fun, nothing serious. My ex used to have an account for those online dating websites, he stopped for a while but eventually went back to using them behind my back to the point that he cheated and now we're no longer together..
Reply:So far it has not worked out for me. I've dated three men and weird little things came about from each one of them. Some type of issue. But in the beginning, they were charming and seemed fun. One of them I believe still kept contacting people on the website they had met before me (like having them on myspace and yahoo IM) and possibly still kept going online. I dumped all three because it did not feel right. How about meeting people through friends or hobbies? It is not as forced and there is not a "front" they have to put up as much as trying to catch somebody.
Reply:Be careful is my opinion. to me anyone who has to meet sumone online is a red flag. Not always but be on the side of caution. If you must try a up-standing dating ite or service where applicants are carefully chosen.
Stay away from anything that is a free for all. I've thought aboout it myself becuz I just hate the whole process of looking. Hang in there. I know where your coming from
Reply:i think that the right person for you will come along at the right time. just be open and confident and i promise you will find someone
